Hanalei Bread Company – A locally owned and operated in Hanalei on the north side of the island. The Hanalei Bread Company is a popular spot to get a coffee for locals and tourists. Kalalea Juice Hale – this is the best acai I had on so far. Its located on Anahola. You can not go wrong on anything you order. The drive is not to far from princeville from here I love going to Anini beach where t here are peaceful and calm beaches.
Shave Ice – You have to eat Hawaiian shave ice then these are my picks. I have been coming here for last couple of years. Both places have very good selection and flavors.

He Fat General Store – located in the heart of Kapaa. I enjoy eating here and walking around town to see what they have. On Wednesday they have farmers market where you can pick local produce.
Chocolate – If you want to try the best chocolate in the US and made in the US then this is it in my opinion. It is Lydgate Farm Chocolate. When I came here for the first time I was thinking it was going to be like all the other chocolates with artificial flavors, lots of sugar and not much taste in chocolate. I was absolutely wrong. In my honest opinion, the best chocolate I ever had was after Switzerland, Belgium, Peru. This is amazing. I love dark chocolate, and dark chocolate with coffee. I am not much of a coffee person but this is really good. I just could not stop eating it and I guess great quality has price. This chcocolate is not cheap but you pay for what you get. The Passion Bakery – Hawaii’s malasadas. Tried different places but this the best place I had malasadas. They have different flavors like manago, coconut, matcha, ube. Other think I really like they have the best macadamia nut chocolate chip cookies.. If they do not get there early they usually sell out very quickly. I usually get there by 7 as soon as they open. East side of the Island – located in kapaa
De Melting Pot – this is one best places i had for garlic shrimp, Kauai burger (vegetarian). The shrimp she gives are large compared to other places i have been to.
Kauai Thai Food – This is better thai food compared to the north and east side of the island.
Namaste Indian Food – This is cooked by and owned by indian. You are getting as close to authentic india food as possible, You have vegetarian options, choices delicious seafood, and lamb.
Tony’s Catch – The fish tacos, and shrimp tacos are very good. After eating, take a walk next to the beach or rent a bike and breathe the nice fresh air on the island of kauai.

The Dolphin Restaurant – if you want sushi and this best I had on island. It is located in Hanalei north of princeville. Been coming for a couple years and I did try other places around the island. This is my top pick for sushi. https://hanaleidolphin.com/
Hanalei Poke – this is my absolute favorite. I four times in one week because it was so good. Located north of princeville in the heart of hanalei town. When I had it for the first time I could not stop t thinking about it. I went back every other day. My absolute favorite is Hanalei Special Spicy. Everything is good here. Another place to get good Poke is Princeville grocery store they have amazing selection and fresh every day.
The One Hotel – The best breakfast buffet you will ever have. The buffet includes pastries, fresh fruit, juices, nuts, cheese, celerals, made to order omelets, bacon, sausages, pancakes or french toast, roasted potatoes or veggies. They keep changing their items. My absolute favorite is ricotta cheese pancakes with fresh blueberry topping which needs no maple syrup in my option. If you eat there then you validate your parking ticket then it is free parking or else $50 for parking. This located in Princeville.
